Anyone Want to Sell Me Your Beer Holster?

Posted by Aaron on June 1, 2006 and filed under Humor

Obviously father's day is coming up...I can't imagine any other reason that Red Envelope would be carrying the Beer Holster.

The sad thing is that according to the Red Envelope website they've actually sold out of these things. Must be because of the free PR they've been getting.

Sorry to our Toolspotting readers to be so slow to cover such a hot job site accessory...maybe they'll be available on eBay soon.

Power Tool Racers

Posted by Aaron on May 8, 2006 and filed under Humor

Maybe we should create a category on Toolspotting called 'pimp my tool' for all the modifications people make to tools. After the Hello Kitty belt sander, now comes power tool drag races...

The 2006 races actually took place this weekend, and actually live blogged it with both photos and YouTube video clips on their site--check out their recap here.

UPDATE--MAKE has more photos and video here, or you can get a whole load of photos from The Laughing Squid.

Memories

This isn't my car, but I did something similar once to a Toyota station wagon when I put a dozen sheets of 5/8" drywall on the roof rack. Fortunately I was able to push the roof back out by lying in the back and kicking upwards with both feet - so everything turned out fine in the end.
