DIY Rechargable Battery Upgrade for Power Tools

Over on the MAKE blog, someone's gone and upgraded their old NiCad-powered rechargable drill with newer and more effective NiMH batteries.

There's no mention of the possibility of switching to Lithium Ion batteries that are so popular now--might be a voltage issue...?

Removing a Stripped Screw

The ever helpful Make Blog pointed us to this useful explanation of how to remove a stubborn screw or bolt when the threads have been stripped. Since this is Make, you won't be surprised that a Dremel tool is involved. ;-)

Now if they can only help me remove that one electrical screw in my bathroom with the head that broke off.
