Craftsman Drill Combo Kit

Craftsman just released a new 19.2 volt coordless combo kit including both an impact driver and a driver/drill with a T-handle.

They're pretty straight forward, although the impact driver does come with LED task lighting. The kit includes two batteries and a universal charger...but note that the batteries are Ni-Cad, not the newer Li-Ion technology.

The kit retails for $149, although Craftsman Club members currently can get a 33% discount and pick it up for 99 bucks.

Drill Doctor Bit Sharpener

Drill Doctor is a drill bit sharpener that can extend the useful life of your existing drill bits.

It's got a 15,000 rpm motor a replacable diamond sharpening wheel. You simply insert your drill bit in to the custom chuck, pop the chuck in to the sharpener, adjust the settings for alignment and material take off, and turn it on.

There's a review over on the Bacchic Revelry houseblog of the Vermont American dual-speed angle driver kit--an accessory that can convert your regular drill to an angle drill for use in tight quarters.

His opinion: "I would only reccomend this tool if you are drilling small holes, where the final appearence of the hole doesn't matter."

Mansfield Dual Bit Drill
