Posted by Aaron on April 13, 2006 and filed under Accessories , Drills

There's a review over on the Bacchic Revelry houseblog of the Vermont American dual-speed angle driver kit--an accessory that can convert your regular drill to an angle drill for use in tight quarters.

His opinion: "I would only reccomend this tool if you are drilling small holes, where the final appearence of the hole doesn't matter."

Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac Pump Accessory

Posted by Aaron on April 11, 2006 and filed under Accessories , Craftsman

Craftsman just released an accessory that converts their version of the shop vac in to a portable pump system.

The pump out accessory let's you move more water than would normally fit in a shop vac without taking multiple trips to dump it out. The pump moves water at 10 gallons per minute and can send it up to 40 feet high--perfect for that giant backyard water slide you've been planning to build this summer.

If your still fuzzy on exactly how this thing works, there's an action shot after the jump.

Review: RIGID Compound Miter Saw table stand

We used to have a DELTA 12” miter saw that we inherited from my father in-law. It worked great, but it was very heavy and didn’t have a blade guard. We had a big project this summer to replace a lot of our front porch trim efore it got repainted. This involved a LOT of miter cuts and it just seemed easier to bring the saw to the work.

Hawkmate

Posted by Aaron on March 17, 2006 and filed under Accessories , Storage and Organizing

If you do enough drywall, the Hawkmate provides an interesting custom hawk you'll be intersted in. (If you don't do much drywall, just move on...)

It does the basic functions of a hawk (basically a place to put spackle while your finishing drywall) that also has slots to put multiple knives when your not using them. The slots also protect the knife edges when you stow them.

Milwaukee "Ultimate Demolition" Sawzall Blade Kit

Posted by Aaron on January 19, 2006 and filed under Accessories

Normally I wouldn't expect recirpocating saw blades to make a great gift, but I make an exception for anything with 'ultimate demolition' in the title.

The Ultimate Demolition Kit comes with 12 task-specific blades for materials including wood ('The Axe'), nail-embedded wood and composite materials ('The Wrecker') and heavy metals ('The Torch').

Nice.
