Is it just me, or is the design of Hitachi's tools kinda ugly? It seems like you'd look back on this after a few years and feel like you'd worn a ruffled tux to the prom.

No way! I'm sure I saw a kid down the street from us wearing a pair of those...they light up with every stride too, I think. All the cool kids are wearing them.
Obviously, this is the result of a product designer who dreams of working for Nike.
